It has been a bit of a whirlwind here since I announced my book deal a few days ago. It's an understatement at the very least to say that I am completely blown away by the wonderful response I have received.  I hope I have replied to all my readers, followers, family and friends who have been so generous with their congratulations - I certainly intend to reply to each and every good wish.  

In true Hunters Lodge style, I celebrated by baking a cake.  I chose Rachel Allen's chocolate fudge cake for this occasion, and let me tell you it didn't disappoint.  It's a chocoholic's dream...

Just a few things before I go off to do some writing.  Have a think about what potatoes you want to grow this year.  Garden Centres now have seed potatoes in stock, and chitting time is upon us.

If you order your vegetable and herb seeds online, start thinking about placing that order now.
